Transforming bedsits into premium en suite commercial accommodation

The design, supply and installation of all mechanical services to create 90 en suite
bathrooms in former bedsit accommodation.
Two former halls of residence in Cheltenham were upgraded to accommodate attendees
of a flight training programme. As well as selecting sanitary ware and other hardware,
the team designed the required drainage and HVAC systems, retrofitting these into the
existing buildings.

Key challenges:

  • Challenging to retrofit the services into period buildings with the drainage
    particularly tricky to design and install
  • Fast 5-month turnaround

Solutions:

  • All systems were planned in Revit to ensure they worked within the period setting
  • Met the deadline by drawing on our experience and working closely with the
    other trades
